Presentation of a facsimile copy of the Lauryshava Gospel, 14th century at the Museum of Early Printed Books in Lviv
On November 18th, 2018 the Gorobets Publishers with the assistance of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation presented a facsimile copy of the Lauryshava Gospel of the 14th century at the Museum of Early Printed Books in Lviv.
The publication of this book was created as part of our project “Returning the Cultural Heritage to Ukraine”.
It should be noted that the Lauryshava Gospel is the oldest among well-known Cyrillic manuscript books of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania during the formative phase of Lithuanian-Russian statehood in the second half of the 14th century. Nowadays, the book is a common written book of three countries: Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine.
