The First Presentation of the Year at the NAS of Ukraine

On January 8, 2025, a regular meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NAS of Ukraine) took place, during which we had the opportunity to present the project "Returning the Cultural Heritage to Ukraine" as part of the discussion on Ukrainian script from the 11th to the 14th century.

This marked the first time we showcased our facsimile editions to the academic community. Following tradition, we presented the books "The Vienna Octoechos of the 13th Century" and "The Vienna Octoechos: Research" to the President of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician Anatolii Zagorodnyi.

We are proud to announce that our books are now part of the collection of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

We extend our gratitude to all the researchers involved in studying ancient manuscripts within the "Returning the Cultural Heritage to Ukraine" project! Your work serves as an evidence-based foundation that debunks the myth of a shared Old Rus’ language, script, and culture among Ukrainians, Russians, and Belarusians.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for defending our land from invaders, enabling us to continue the return of ancient Ukrainian manuscripts created on the lands of Rus’-Ukraine and scattered across the world.
